How to Make It:

  1. Make a pattern by holding a piece of paper over your eyes and having an adult mark where your eyes are with a crayon. Take the paper away from your face. Cut out an oval at each eye mark.

  2. Place the pattern in the middle of a 10-inch piece of thin cardboard and trace the ovals. Remove the pattern. Draw a mask shape around the ovals. Cut out the mask and eyeholes from the cardboard.

  3. Trace the mask and eyeholes onto aluminum foil or wrapping paper. Cut out the foil or paper, and glue it to the mask.

  4. Decorate the mask with sequins, paper cutouts, feathers, glitter, or ribbon.

  5. Punch a hole in each end of the mask, and tie on string to wear it or hang it up. Or securely tape a thin wooden dowel to one side of the mask at the back, and use the dowel to hold the mask up to your face.
